Nature landmarks
There are 98 reservations on the territory of the country,
17 of which are inhabited by different animal species. The
most famous are Srebarna, Boatin, Kamchia, Parangalitza,
Tzaritchina, The Rila Monastery Forest, Skakavitza, Bayuvi
Dupki. There are 10 national parks: Pirin, Rila, Strandja,
the Central Balkan, the Vratza Balkan, The Blue Rocks, The
Russe Lom, The Shumen Plateau, The Golden Sands, The Kobaklak
and Srebarna. Two natural parks, Rila and Pirin.
Natural and historical landmarks
The seven natural sights are , the Rila Monastery, the Madara
Horseman, the Boyana Church, the tombs in Kazanlak and Sveshtari,
the Ivanovo Cave Monasteries and the ancient city of Nessebar
are protected by UNESCO. Rocks, waterfalls, caves, sand
dunes, remarkable landscape and objects attract many tourists.
